Join us at the next edition of IMol Science Club on January 18th where we will be hosting Jan Konvalinka from the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences!
Prof. Konvalinka is involved in research in Medicinal Chemistry and Biochemistry, involving antiviral research (HIV and influenza viruses), substrate specificity and inhibition of proteases (GCPII-family, DDI1 and 2) and development of tools and techniques for identification, visualisation and targeting enzymes (“iBodies”, DIANAā€¯).
Our guest is the Group Leader of the Proteases of Human Pathogens Group at IOMCB, which focuses on the identification, validation and characterization of traditional or novel therapeutic targets for the diagnostics and treatment of viral diseases and cancer.
