IMol Science Club

Join our next edition of IMol Science Club with Prof. Michal Minczuk that will take place on October 16, 2024 at 2 pm!

Prof. Michal Minczuk earned a Master’s degree in Biotechnology (1999) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (2003) from the University of Warsaw. He was an FEBS Postdoctoral Fellow at the MRC, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge (2004–2007). He joined the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit as an Investigator Scientist in 2007 and became a MRC Investigator in 2009. In 2023, he was appointed Professor of Mitochondrial Genetics at the University of Cambridge. Michal has received numerous awards, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Prize for his PhD thesis. Recently, he co-founded Pretzel Therapeutics, a biotech company focused on therapies for mitochondrial dysfunction.
