Our colleague and Group Leader, Nicola De Franceschi, has been awarded the Polonez Bis 2 grant by NCN! The project concerns the transport of RNA across mitochondrial membranes. As Nicola describes it: “We aim to understand how coronaviruses export their genomic RNA via a mysterious double-membrane pore, using an in vitro reconstitution approach”. Congratulations Nicola!
